6th year of L´Alqueria del Basket (2022 - 2023)

The home of European basketball training has completed 6 years of life, with a rapid international expansion that is evidenced in turn by the growing participation in all open activities organized.

Activity continues to grow at L'Alqueria

  • In the sixth year of the facility's life, 16,446 hours of occupation with different activities were reached, which is higher than the average obtained in the previous five years
  • The training sessions of the Youth Teams reached 12,554, which represents an increase over previous years
  • L'Alqueria del Basket also hosted almost 3,000 hours of games during this sixth season
  • One more year, around 500 players have made up the more than 40 Youth Teams

The home of training coaches

  • In its sixth year of life, L'Alqueria continues to be a reference in open coach training
  • Valencia Basket gave a new dimension to the "Coach Experience" to show external coaches how to work at L'Alqueria by attending a training session of a youth team on the court
  • Renowned national coaches such as Jota Cuspinera, Lluís Riera or Fabián Téllez have been the protagonists of this season's training sessions
  • The Personal Development Area celebrated its fourth season training the Club's coaches through a complete psychology course

The Camps and Schools are established and growing

  • The Camps and Schools offer has continued to grow, reaching a total of 21 activities, which nearly 13,000 boys and girls were able to enjoy in six years
  • This past season, the 3x3 Christmas Camp, the Summer Camp in Cheste, the Men's Technification Camp and the Raquel Carrera Camp in Ourense were added to the Taronja line-up
  • The rest of the activities continue to consolidate, with the Summer Camp being the longest running with 34 editions, followed by the Easter Camp with 18 and the Christmas Camp with 14

Dreams continue to come true at Mur dels Somnis

  • In the six years since the creation of L'Alqueria del Basket there are already a total of 12 players have inscribed their name on the Mur dels Somnis
  • In this sixth year were the turns of Lucas Marí, who coincided with his father -the first name in the Mur- José Manuel Marí, and Mirembe Twehamye, who enjoyed their first minutes in the game with the first teams of Valencia Basket
  • El Mur dels Somnis continues to be a reference point for the hundreds of players that are formed in L'Alqueria del Basket

The seal of L'Alqueria is consolidated in the national teams

  • The presence of players in the national teams has been consolidated, being Valencia Basket a regular club present in the training categories
  • 28 Taronja players and/or coaches participated with their national teams, either in call-ups or in official tournaments from U12 to U20
  • In this sixth year of life of L'Alqueria, the Taronja representatives won a total of 17 medals in official competitions during the summer period

The Senior League grows with more teams

  • Four seasons ago L'Alqueria del Basket created its own senior league to offer everyone the chance to play basketball through an amateur level competition in incomparable facilities
  • This past season participation took a big leap with 56 male and female teams, almost 20 more than the previous year, who competed in different divisions by levels and even held a 3x3 Cup
  • A project that is possible with the collaboration of Quirónsalud for the second year, which is also responsible for the nursing service of L'Alqueria del Basket

L'Alqueria Academy, expands in the training of young people

  • One of the objectives of L'Alqueria del Basket is to make its model available to everyone and that is why L'Alqueria Academy was launched four seasons ago
  • Although in the first seasons the number of young people betting on this program grew little by little, it was last season when the number grew exponentially, reaching a total of 17 boys and girls, Spanish and foreigners
  • This figure is expected to continue to grow in the coming seasons

Thousands of children enjoy Tu Cole in L'Alqueria

  • Tu Cole en L'Alqueria, the program of visits to the best basketball training facility in Europe welcomes thousands of children every year, who have the opportunity to enjoy basketball on the court and learn about the Culture of Endeavour
  • Last season, a total of 52 schools from all over the Valencian Community took part in this activity, with more than 2,500 children, which means almost 12,000 children in total since the creation of the program
