Valencia Basket's academies continue to grow in Greece and Cyprus, especially in the Greek country. The taronja club began collaborating in this country in March this year to work with young athletes and coaches to introduce them to the Culture of Endeavour with different campuses, workshops, seminars and tournaments that have not stopped being organised.

Talented players from all the academies that collaborate with the Club, born in 2009 and 2010, are already participating in the Bats' Annual Talent Development Programme. A programme supervised by the coordinator of L'Alqueria del Basket Vlado Babic, the head of the international department of L'Alqueria Juanjo Rojo, and the head of the Talent Development Programme Panagiotis Vasilopoulos.

In October this programme started with an Elite Camp that took place between the 25th and the 28th of October under the direction of two coaches of the Taronja youth team, Carlos Albert and Carlos Martín. In this camp the young players were evaluated with ergometric tests by coach Vangelis Matsagouras and had the opportunity to learn about the importance of a medical check-up from CB Aris' doctor, Dr. Thanos Milousis.

The players who are ready to take the next step will form a select team that will train and compete with other top level players in different tournaments and tryouts, the next important event on the calendar being the Valencia Basket International Tournament to be held in Argolida from 28 February to 3 March 2025.

Coaches Programme

The newly created Valencia Basket Academy has developed a comprehensive three-year training programme for coaches from the network's partner academies in Greece and Cyprus.

The first central coaching seminar took place in Pallini from 25 to 28 October, during the Elite Camp under the theme of ‘Coaching Principles - Programming and Coaching U12 category’. The speakers were Carlos Albert and Carlos Martín, from L'Alqueria del Basket.

The annual Coaching Education Programme 2024-25 consists of two two-day seminars in Nauplia and Serres and one-day mini-seminars in each Valencia Basket Camp that will be organised by collaborating academies of the clubs' network (Pallini-Serres-Larissa-Samos-Tebas-Rodas). There will also be three webinars with Valencia Basket coaches as speakers, so that there will be continuous feedback throughout the year. Finally, the training programme includes a trip to Valencia Basket's facilities in Valencia in May 2025.
