Valencia Basket's U14 boys' A team and U14 girls' A and B teams are kicking off their participation in the Spanish Club Championship. The annual event will be held from June 1 to 7 in the Andalusian cities of Huelva, Aljaraque Punta Umbría, and Palos de la Frontera. All games can be watched live on canalfeb.tv

 

Just two weeks ago, the U14 girls' A team won the Final Phase, giving them direct access to the Spanish Championship, with victories over the U14 B team, NBF Castelló, and Miarco Godella. The U14 girls' B team lost to the U14 A team and NBF Castelló in the Final Phase, but a victory over Miarco Godella secured their ticket to the Spanish Championship. The U14 boys' A team was on the verge of becoming regional champions with victories over TLSI Godella and Moyex EB Vila Real, but a defeat against CBI Elche deprived them of the title.

 

Now, in the Spanish Championship, the U14 girls' A team has been placed in Group B alongside Jansen BT A (2nd Madrid), Casademont Zaragoza A (1st Aragon) and La Mafia Babieca (1st Castile and León). The U14 girls' B team is in Group G alongside Náutico Tenerife ULL (2nd in the Canary Islands), Martín Deco Patronato (2nd in the Basque Country) and CN Helios A (2nd in Aragon). For their part, the U14 boys' A team shares Group B with Real Madrid A (1st in Madrid), Occident Bàsquet Manresa A (3rd in Catalonia) and Maristas CBA (1st in Extremadura).

 

The competition system will be the same as in previous editions, with 32 teams divided into 8 groups of four teams. The top three teams from Groups A, B, C, and D will advance to the round of 16, along with the leaders of Groups E, F, G, and H. There will be three days of regular league play and another four days of direct elimination rounds (round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and final).
