Valencia Basket and CaixaBank bring Paralympic sport to young people with the Empower Kids program

CaixaBank, official sponsor of the Spanish Paralympic Committee since 2019 and member of the Paralympic Sports Support Plan (ADOP), has organized, together with Valencia Basket, the second edition of the Empower Kids program in Valencia, an initiative created by the financial institution that seeks to bring Paralympic sports closer to children and promote the normalization of disability from an early age.


The event, held today at the club's L'Alqueria del Basket facility, was attended by children under the age of 10 from the Valencia Basket Summer School and featured wheelchair basketball player Dani Stix. Through a theoretical and practical session, attendees were able to learn first-hand about the experience of an elite Paralympic athlete, breaking stereotypes and promoting values such as inclusion and diversity.
