Valencia Basket is organizing the sixth edition of the L’Alqueria del Basket Open 3x3 tournament, to be held on May 14, 15, and 16 at L’Alqueria del Basket. This men's and women's tournament, which counts towards the FIBA ​​ranking, will attract top 3x3 players and is open to all players who wish to participate. Thanks to the direct involvement of Red Bull, this tournament will feature substantial prizes.

 

This edition offers significant prizes for both the men's and women's categories. In the men's category, the winning team will earn a spot in the FIBA ​​World Tour in Vienna, with flights included from Madrid, Valencia, or Barcelona, ​​while the runner-up will receive €1,000. In the case of the female category, the winners will receive a prize of €4000, a possible place for the Women Series Qualifier in Badalona with transfer included by car from Madrid or Valencia, while the finalists will receive €2000.

 

L’Alqueria del Basket continues in the official FIBA ​​3x3 circuit.

Valencia will host, once again, the highest level of competition, with the direct participation of 12 teams integrated into the 3x3 circuit, who will fight for the points at stake in the FIBA ​​3x3 circuit.

 

Qualifiers: An Open First Phase

On Thursday, May 14, the tournament will kick off with the men's preliminary phase, featuring 24 teams, including all participants who did not qualify directly. This initial tournament, called Qualifiers, will determine the four men's spots that will go on to compete against the established teams in the final phase.

 

In the men's category, the top 8 teams will already be directly qualified for the final phase or Main Draw, including Valencia Basket. The last 4 spots will come from the preliminary phase, which will be played on the first day of the tournament, May 14.

 

Therefore, 12 teams will participate in the group stage, or main draw.

 

Group Stage (Main Draw) and Finals

The men's and women's group stages will be held on the afternoon of Friday, May 15th, and the morning of Saturday, May 16th. Twelve teams will participate in each category. The knockout rounds and finals will take place on Saturday afternoon, May 16th.

 

Prices and Welcome Package

The registration fee will vary depending on the tournament phase. For men's teams, those playing in the tournament on the 14th will have to pay a registration fee of €300 per team. If they reach the final phase on the 15th and 16th, the registration fee per team increases to €1200. For women's teams, the registration fee for the final phase is €400. Registration for both categories is now open.

 

Tournament registration includes:

 

- At least three games.

- Hospitality area for players.

- Water for athletes.

- Sports accident insurance.

- Merchandise courtesy of sponsors.

 

Basic Rules of 3x3 Basketball

Teams will consist of four players and will compete under the official FIBA ​​3x3 rules. The games will last 10 minutes or 21 points, with overtime for the first to score two points in case of a tie.

Teams participating in the preliminary phase: €250 (payable upon confirmation of their place via bank transfer to the Fundació Valencia Basquet 2000 account). The preliminary phase takes place on Thursday, May 14th. If they advance to the final phase, they will pay the remaining €900 (payable before the first game of the final phase via bank transfer to the Fundació Valencia Basquet 2000 account).
