Valencia Basket's Under-14 boys' team represented Spain at the Minicopa México in Tijuana, organized by Cibacopa and the LNBP, in collaboration with the ACB. The Taronja squad put on a great performance, finishing in third place, but above all, they were able to enjoy an unforgettable experience both on and off the court, as the youth players had the opportunity to visit Los Angeles before the tournament began.

 

On the court, Valencia Basket started with wins against Ángeles Ciudad de México (65-49) and Halcones de Ciudad Obregón (73-82). Despite the loss to Dorados de Chihuahua (57-66) on the third game of the group stage, the Taronja team qualified for the semifinals. There, Valencia Basket faced Rayos de Hermosillo, whom they were unable to defeat, losing 110-77. In the third-place game, Carlos Albert’s team had the opportunity to end the tournament on a high note, and they did just that, defeating Dorados de Chihuahua (73-82) and claiming the bronze medal. Patrick Eke was named to the Minicopa México All-Tournament Team.
