More Than 70 Participants Attend the II UCV - Valencia Basket Sports Physiotherapy Update Conference

L'Alqueria del Basket hosted the II UCV - Valencia Basket Sports Physiotherapy Update Conference, an initiative jointly promoted by the Catholic University of Valencia and Valencia Basket through AlqueriaLab, bringing together more than 70 attendees, including students, professionals and specialists from the fields of health and sport.

 

The event featured professionals from Valencia Basket, Levante UD and the Catholic University of Valencia, who addressed a range of topics related to interdisciplinary work within sports medical departments and injury recovery in sport.

 

The speakers included Natalia García Martínez, psychologist from UCV working within Valencia Basket’s Medical Services Department; Javier Pérez Murillo, nutritionist from UCV working within Valencia Basket’s Medical Services Department; and Julia Cerrillo Sanchís, physiotherapist and rehabilitation specialist at Valencia Basket. Other contributors included Javier Torres Macías, physiotherapist for Levante UD’s first team; David López Sotomayor, physiotherapist, rehabilitation specialist and PhD candidate in Health Sciences; Josep López Soler, physiotherapist and rehabilitation specialist at Clínica Ofisport, lecturer in the UCV Physiotherapy Degree and PhD candidate in Health Sciences; and Luis Miguel González Cuesta, rehabilitation specialist for Levante UD’s first team.

 

The event once again highlighted the strong collaboration between Valencia Basket and the Catholic University of Valencia, a partnership that continues to promote joint initiatives in education, research and the transfer of knowledge applied to sport.
