L'Alqueria del Basket lives its most special day

L'Alqueria del Basket is the home of European basketball training open to all and last Wednesday several special education schools in the Community were able to see for themselves. The Generalitat Valenciana organized a few days in the taronja facilities in which basketball and fun were the epicenter of the activity.

 

Although the aim was to organize a more multitudinous day, the health situation forced to reduce the number of participating teams, leaving six groups of five centers in the province of Valencia. The lucky ones were CEE Francisco Esteve from Paterna with two teams, CEE Rosa Llàcer from Castellar, CEE Squema from Torrent, CEE Koynos Cooperativa from Godella and CEE Virgen de la Esperanza from Cheste.

 

The day consisted of two small tournaments of three teams each. The first thing the centers did when they arrived at L'Alqueria was to enjoy lunch in the stands, both indoor and outdoor courts, distributed by centers to ensure the safety distance and reduce contact as much as possible until game time. The action came with the celebration of the games, in which the participants wore masks and the balls were disinfected at every half time.

 

The centers said they were very satisfied with the day and were grateful that finally, despite the difficulties, it had been possible to celebrate the day, since their students really enjoyed participating.
