The seventh training day for coaches of this season of the Basketball Chair L'Alqueria del Basket with the Universitat de València and the support of Caixabank is coming. An appointment that will have as protagonist Salva Maldonado next Thursday, April 21.

 

This year, as one of the main novelties, all those registered for either of the two options will receive digital material related to the topic covered in the clinic. And as usual, the hours will continue to be valid for FEB and FBCV coaches courses, being 4 hours per day for those who opt for the Coach Experience. A new leap in level to offer the most complete training.

 

Salva Maldonado will share his knowledge on "Dynamic game and spacing". A talk that will be held at the central court of L'Alqueria at 20:30h.

 

About Salva Maldonado

The renowned coach has a wide experience managing benches in Spain. He took his first steps as a coach in the lower categories of Catalan teams and in the Joventut de Badalona youth teams. TDK Manresa was his first experience as first ACB coach in the 97-98 season, with which he won the Copa del Rey, and later he was at Caja San Fernando and TAU Cerámica. He then spent several seasons coaching in LEB before returning to the top flight in 2005 with Gran Canaria. He also was on the bench at Baloncesto Fuenlabrada, Joventut Badalona, Movistar Estudiantes and Herbalife Gran Canaria. This season, his last team was San Pablo Burgos, a team he coached until January of this year. Maldonado is the 5th coach with the most games coached in the history of the Endesa League with a total of 616.

 

 

Coach Experience

In addition to the usual option of attending the clinics in the center court of the facility, or watching them online at a price of 12 euros with the best possible speakers, there is the possibility of further improving the training received. Those who wish may opt for the Coach Experience, having access to a full training session developed at the Club before the clinic, with a discussion at the end with the coach who directs it, thus having the option to ask him about the work developed. An activity coordinated by David Calero, coordinator of the Basketball Chair. Those who wish to live this experience will be able to do so for only 6 euros more, that is, 18 euros for the whole day.

 

Those who choose this option will live a special Coach Experience with Vlado Babic, coordinator of the School of L'Alqueria del Basket. The session will deal with the methodological progression and the design of tasks in mini-basketball stages. It will start at 18:45h and will end at 20:15h in the central court.
