The arrival of September means the beginning of the preseason for all teams of L'Alqueria del Basket. The preparation for a new basketball season begins. Taronja players return to the courts, but also to the rooms. Valencia Basket's commitment to the integral education of its players is materialized through the Personal Development Area of the Club by the hand of its head Paco Pardo.

 

During the season this department is responsible for working both collectively and individually with the teams with different objectives depending on the time and specific circumstances of each one. The preseason work also has a specific purpose.

 

The sessions have the objective of seeking the season's objectives as a group. To this end, each team works individually, in small groups and as a group on the question of what image they want to give as a team to achieve these objectives and what behaviors they will have in training and in matches to create this "daily image" of the team on the court, as a process to achieve performance goals or results.

 

In the end, it is the team itself that decides. First they determine individually what they want to achieve as players and how much they contribute to the good of the team, a daily image of the team and final goals. From this daily image, from the individual and team behaviors or actions, the needs are extracted to progressively manage and build the identity of each team.
