Dave Love: "at the Shooting Academy it is important that the player understands how to work"

Coach Dave Love leads this edition of the Shooting Academy, the best specific shooting camp, at L’Alqueria del Basket, the home of European basketball training. This event has been taking place in the facilities of the taronja club from last Monday, July 5, until next Saturday, July 10. The experienced North American coach attends Valencia Basket, explaining, first-hand, his experience on this Camp.

 

Dave Love states that “this campus is quite different from a lot of other campuses I have done, with many players coming from all over Spain and Europe who want to learn about shooting mechanics and the little details that help shooters get more shots when they develop them”. He also adds that "I can contribute the physical habits in which we are working, but it is much more important that they understand how we are working, not just what we do, how we learn to do it".

 

Valencia Basket has been betting for years on the training of its players, as well as facilitating their progress. Consequently, the magnificent facilities of L’Alqueria have become the training house for European basketball. “The facility is incredible, it is one of the best in the world, and the fact that it is not only open for professionals, but for the youngest, whether they are players or coaches, is wonderful. It's a world-class facility”, says Coach Love.
