L'Alqueria LAB and the CEU Cardenal Herrera University sign a collaboration agreement

The CEU Cardenal Herrera University and L’Alqueria del Basket signed a collaboration agreement in the Miki Vukovic Room of the facilities, whereby both entities join forces in three main lines of action: education, research and social impact.

From doing joint training activities in different subjects, training practices for students, projects and dissemination in health, nutrition, healthy life or development and social inclusion, to a line of joint research which is already becoming a reality in the Master of Sports Physiotherapy of the CEU UCH. An agreement encompassed in the R+D+I+Co department (Research + Development + Innovation + Collaboration) L’Alqueria LAB, which continues to seek alliances that help generate new knowledge in both basketball and society.

The rector of the University, Mr. Vicente Navarro de Luján analyzed the agreement very positively. “This agreement opens several perspectives for collaboration. First, in an academic aspect. Our students can come and receive training in relation to the values of sport, healthy living and a series of issues that may interest all citizens. Also that they can take postgraduate courses related to this institution. From the social point of view you can extract a whole policy of communication to society in relation to healthy life, with sport and health practice”, he said.

For his part, José Puentes, Director of Operations and Institutional Relations of Valencia Basket, also valued the agreement. “Creating these alliances, in this case with a university as prestigious as the CEU UCH, encourages us much more to demand, self-demand the entire staff, for that social work that we also do, as the rector said. Because universities contribute much that theoretical part, and we will put more practice, but we both have in common that we carry out a legacy action to improve our society”, he said.
