The 2006 Cadet generation graduates in L'Alqueria del Basket

L'Alqueria del Basket has hosted one more year the graduation ceremony of the second year U16 players, who finish this stage with Valencia Basket. An event that took place in the main court and in which participated both Youth and School teams of the 2006 generation. The main protagonists were the female teams U16 A Anguiles and U16 Sames and the male teams U16 A Fardatxos, U16 Mujons and U16 Moixonets, as well as the players of L'Alqueria Academy of this generation.

 

Former Taronja player César Alonso was the sponsor of the graduation. Alonso was an important part of the Club, where he was formed as a U16 and U18 and returned to settle in the professional team and contribute to the promotion to ACB and subsequent successes, such as the Copa del Rey in Valladolid in 1998. He currently advises athletes as a FIBA agent and is responsible for personnel and the legal department of the company Hoops Pro International. As sponsor, Alonso had a few words for the players, encouraging them to enjoy the training stage to the fullest and reminding them that effort is non-negotiable in all areas of life.

 

Andreu Casadevall, Esteban Albert and Vlado Babic, coordinators of the women's youth academy, the men's youth academy and the school, respectively, were in charge of presenting the players with their stripes. The U16 A Anguiles Women's team received a well-deserved tribute after winning the Spanish U16 Championship just a few weeks ago for the second year in a row, hanging their respective banner in the sky of the main court. Then, with the U16 A Male Fardatxos did not miss the opportunity to also give a standing ovation to this team, which won bronze in the Spanish Championship. After the imposition of the bands, two representatives of the generation talked: Lucía Rivas and Lucas Sanchis, taking stock of this stage. Mª Ángeles Vidal, coordinator of L'Alqueria del Basket, also closed the graduation with a few words.
