Between September 23 and 25, Valencia will host one of the most important sporting events in the women's youth basketball environment, the Basketball Tryouts Spain. A competition that will bring together in L'Alqueria del Basket and Paterna (with the collaboration of NB Paterna and the Paterna City Council) the best players born between 2005 and 2007 in the cadet and junior categories to be observed by prestigious American universities.

The tournament, unique in Europe, is organized by the Valencian company R&O Events, awarded in 2021 with the first Empren Esport Award granted by the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation and the Marca newspaper. In addition, it will have the presence of top-level national category clubs.

The participating teams will be Valencia Basket, Nou Bàsquet Paterna, Picken Claret, Unicaja Málaga, Club Siglo XXI, UCAM Murcia, Bàsquet Femení Sant Adrià, and CB Terralfàs.
