Valencia Basket raises the level of its offer of Christmas activities with the winter edition of the already consolidated Skills Camp and its Miniskills version focused on minibasket, which will renew the traditional Christmas Camps. The Club will offer the possibility to all interested players to improve their skills with the taronja method, applied by three real experts in working with minibasket and youth teams: Paco Pardo, Andreu Casadevall and Manolo Real.

 

This new Christmas activity, which will take place from December 26 to 30, for boys and girls born between 2008 and 2014, will take place in L'Alqueria del Basket, an ideal place for young people to improve while continuing to enjoy their favorite sport.

Price and schedule

The price of the Camp is 225€ with lunch included, since the activity will take place from 9:00h to 18:00h. On December 30, the schedule will be from 9:00h to 14:00h.

 

Specific work to improve skills

The Camp will focus on different tools to help the development of all registered players, improving their skills. There will be three different types of training:

-       Training 1: Motor development. Development of basic perceptual-motor skills of young players. We will focus this type of training on coordination and agility while working on the basic fundamentals of basketball.

-       Training 2: Technical-tactical skills. Technical and tactical skills necessary to compete. Participants will hone their skills and we will emphasize the accuracy and consistency of each fundamentals. They will learn tactical concepts and game reading, improve their decision making in 1x1 situations and have a better understanding of how to solve complex offensive and defensive situations.

-       Training 3: Practical applications with real game transfers. Participants will be able to apply the skills and knowledge acquired in the previous training sessions to real game situations. We will work on specific situations that will allow them to adapt to different game situations and how to make better effective tactical decisions.

 

In addition, the participant will have a moment during the day to watch videos and improve individually through game observation. Participants will have the opportunity to identify areas for personal improvement and coaches will provide specific feedback on the game while suggesting ways to improve.

 

Finally, as a novelty, talks and group dynamics with the Club's psychopedagogist will be included. Fundamental psychological and learning aspects of basketball (motivation, confidence, stress and pressure management, etc.) will be addressed.

 

Valencia Basket Method with the best coaches

The methodology of L'Alqueria del Basket has become a model for the development of players, both nationally and internationally. The basis of success lies in a comprehensive methodology, covering technical, tactical, physical, psychological and ethical aspects. All this together with the best technical direction: Paco Pardo, Andreu Casadevall and Manolo Real.

 

Paco Pardo, coach of Valencia Basket's U12 A male, with an extensive career in the taronja club and, in addition, currently responsible for the Personal Development Area. With the U12 A male team he was proclaimed Champion of Spain in the first edition organized in this category by the Spanish Basketball Federation this year.

 

Andreu Casadevall is the coordinator of the Valencia Basket men's youth teams, but he also has a successful career on the bench. Casadevall remains in history as the coach with the highest number of promotions to the Endesa League, with a total of five, in places like his hometown, Llíria, or in Burgos, where he won three promotions in a row. A legend in ACB and LEB Gold.

 

Manolo Real, current coordinator of the Valencia Basket women's youth teams, has an extensive career in the Club coaching in the lower categories taronja where he obtained great successes such as the Championships of Spain with U16 team consecutive in 2021 and 2022. In addition, before his time in the Valencia Basket youth teams, he was League, Cup and Supercup champion and Euroleague runner-up with Ciudad Ros Casares Valencia.

 

In the facilities of L'Alqueria del Basket

The Camp will be held at the facilities of L'Alqueria del Basket (Calle del Bomber Ramon Duart, s/n, 46013 València) which has 9 indoor and 4 outdoor courts with full equipment, gym, medical and physiotherapy rooms and meeting and study rooms.

Cancellation policy

The registration can be cancelled by sending a written communication to recepcion@alqueriadelbasket.com. The date of receipt of such communication will be taken into account to proceed to the total or partial refund of the activity, which will be made according to the following parameters:

-       Cancellation more than 30 days before the start of the activity: 100% refund.

-       Cancellation between 29 and 20 days before the start of the activity: 75% refund.

-       Cancellation between 19 and 10 days before the start of the activity: 50% refund.

-       Cancellation within 9 days before the start of the activity or once the activity has started: no refund.
