INSCRIPTION

Valencia Basket and the University of Worcester launch the fifth edition of one of their main joint projects, the 2020 International Camp that will again take place in the facilities that the University of Worcester has in the United Kingdom. In this fifth experience, which comes loaded with surprises, the duration of this Camp that unifies the practice of basketball with the learning of the English language, will be 7 days, and its price will remain at 1,100 euros. This price includes direct flights Valencia-London-Valencia, accommodation and full board, English lessons, reversible clothes, a t-shirt and a Valencia Basket sweatshirt, excursion and transfers in the United Kingdom.

From August 16 to 23, 2020

The Camp will be held from August 16 to 23, 2020, for young people between the ages of 11 and 18 at the University of Worcester (UK), a experience that will mix the learning of basketball with the opportunity to practice and learn the English language, internationalizing the more than 30 years of experience of Valencia Basket in the Camps organization.

The Worcester-Valencia Basket International Camp will also include the participation of young English players and other nationalities, which will allow a unique experience for all participants.

High quality

Two of the leading basketball clubs, in the United Kingdom and in Spain, have joined forces to develop a unique summer experience for the most talented and promising kids. The camp staff will consist of members of the coaching staff and players of the Worcester Wolves Senior team and the sports coordination of the Valencia Basket staff.

Intensive daily Basketball & English program

The daily activity program runs from 9 am to 9 pm, and includes 2 hours a day of English lessons with native teachers, which will be combined with the practice in English of basketball, in areas such as fundamentals, routines, individual works and competition without forgetting the fun.

Young people will be grouped based on age and level criteria, in order to facilitate competitiveness, which will be positive for the Worcester Camp and Valencia Basket experience, and in a social environment in English

Equipped by Valencia Basket

All youth will be equipped with the official clothing of Valencia Basket Club, made by the technical sponsor Luanvi, which will include an official reversible training tracksuit (shirt and pants), a t-shirt and a sweatshirt.

Excellent facilities for basketball

The University of Worcester Arena, where training will take place, is an iconic pavilion of 2,000 spectators with three basketball courts, with all possible facilities for learning on the court and excellent locker rooms. The pavilion was the training base for the British men's and women's national team for the 2015 Eurobasket. It is also the headquarters of the British men's and women's teams in the wheelchair mode, as well as being the headquarters of the Wheelchair Europe Championships 2015. In addition, it has two additional basketball courts with fitness equipment at the University's St John's Sport Center.

A perfect environment and accommodation

The equipment of the University of Worcester is within a large campus that offers large and safe landscaped areas. Each floor of the residence consists of 6 spacious rooms, with common comfortable and practical places. The campus has a location close to the city center and areas perfect for sightseeing or shopping (supervised).

The city of Worcester is a beautiful town dating from the 12th century with its own cathedral. Its location makes it easy to reach the cities of Birmingham, Warwick, Stratford-Xpon-Avon, Cardiff and London. It is located on the River Severn, in a rural county surrounded by beautiful landscapes and views that include the Malvern hills.

The participants of the Worcester-Valencia Basket International Camp will have the opportunity to get to know the city center, on an organized excursion, as well as the Lakeside Campus, with outdoor multi-adventure activities, within the program of immersion in English culture. It will be held on Saturday, August 22.

1,100 euros per person

The price of the Camp experience in Worcester, with accommodation and full board, English lessons, official Valencia Basket clothes, excursion, direct flight Valencia-London-Valencia and transfers in the United Kingdom, is 1,100 euros per person. About Worcester Wolves

Born in 2000, Worcester Wolves is one of the most respected basketball clubs of the British Basketball League. The club has earned a national reputation for excellence on and off the court. The Wolves play at the iconic University of Worcester Arena, and have regularly been among the top 4 teams in the country. In 2014, he got his biggest challenge by achieving the national title of the BBL.
