The co-innovation department of L'Alqueria del Basket, L'Alqueria LAB, will carry out a collaboration with the rugby club Les Abelles in order to monitor the health and improve the performance of their players. The home of European basketball training will make its resources available to carry out a complete study of their athletes.

 

The objective of this new program is to perform a wide variety of functional tests in order to assess in detail the health status and performance of the players, as well as to help in the prevention of injuries and in the optimization of training according to the individual needs of all those who participate in the study.

 

This program, open to all interested clubs and teams, is a new commitment that is made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Ypsilon Clinic, whose doctor Vicente Sebastiá will supervise the medical check-ups.

 

On the other hand, the functional tests will also be carried out under the supervision of experts. In this case the Doctors in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences Borja Ricart and Iván Chulvi, in collaboration with the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences of the University of Valencia, will be in charge of the control of this part of the program.

 

The results will allow Les Abelles to put the focus on the points of improvement to be addressed with their players, as well as adjust the training to get a better performance from them, taking their preparation to another level.
