Since the inauguration of L'Alqueria del Basket, the Mur dels Somnis (Wall of Dreams) has been a very special part of it. Located at the main access to the main court, it is a list of all the players who have made their debut with the professional team of Valencia Basket in the highest Spanish category or in an international game, after having completed in the Club's youth teams the two years prior to their debut.


Alex Vera was the first to join his name to the illustrious ones that already appeared in the Wall with the creation of the facility. Since then, two more male players (Ion Galarza and Guillem Ferrando) and one female player (Lorena Segura) have been able to join that long list, which today is an example for everyone in the home of European basketball training. Millán Jiménez, Claudia Contell and Paula García, who met the requirements last season and will be included as soon as the measures imposed by the health authorities allow the celebration of their act of inclusion, have also achieved it.


The same happens now with Alejandro Bellver, who will join those names. The Valencian player made his debut last Saturday in the Supercopa Endesa against Barça playing 1 minute and scoring a triple at the same time he came on the court.


In this way, Alejandro Bellver will be the eighth player to be part of the Mur dels Somnis of L'Alqueria since its creation. The Club will celebrate -as it happens with Millán, Claudia and Paula- his act of inclusion when the health situation allows it, following the recommendations of the health authorities.

 

Requirements to be included in the Mur dels Somnis

The requirements to be fulfilled by a Valencia Basket player to obtain the recognition in the Mur are the following:


  • The Club understands as youth categories the U14, U16 and U18 stages.
  • The debut must take place in an official competition game, European or national at the highest level, with the Professional Team (friendly matches are not taken into account).
  • The player must have played in the Club's youth categories in the two years prior to his/her debut with the Professional Team.
  • In the event that a player debuts without having completed the two years in a youth team and continues training at the Club until he/she completes them later, it will be his/her participation in official competition after that time that will be taken into account for inclusion in the Mur dels Somnis.


About Alejandro Bellver

The Valencian player came to the Club at the age of 4 years in baby category, so he has lived all his basketball training as a taronja, growing both in his performance and in the values that characterize the Culture of Endeavour. Alejandro has been part of important moments of the U18 and the taronja second team. He finished fourth in the Spanish U18 Championship and in the 2018-19 season he was with Xavi Albert's team champion of the Adidas Next Generation Tournament of València, qualifying for the finals of the Euroleague tournament. Last year he was one of the architects of the promotion to LEB Silver in the phase played in the Fonteta in May with the EBA team. This year he is part of the squad of the taronja second team in the bronze category of Spanish basketball and has been a regular in the preseason of the ACB team, which has earned him his debut in the Supercopa Endesa.
