5th year of L´Alqueria del Basket (2021 - 2022)
L´Alqueria del Basket completed its fifth year of life with a very positive balance and great prospects for the future. A fact that shows that, as in basketball, the starting five can be very important to begin a game well and get it back on track.
Activity floods L'Alqueria
- In these first five years of life, more than 68,000 hours of work were accumulated in the facility, an average of 13,600 hours, a figure that was surpassed this past year
- More than 41,000 training sessions were carried out, some 8,200 for each of the accumulated seasons of activity.
- 4,631 matches were hosted in these first 5 years, just over 900 matches per season, a figure that was surpassed this past year, exceeding 1,300 matches.
- More than 500 players made up the 45 Youth teams.
The home of coach training
- After 5 years of life, L'Alqueria has also become a reference in coach training.
- This last season the "Coach Experience" option was added to the days to offer more content to coaches interested in a more complete experience.
- During this period, top-level protagonists such as Sito Alonso, Joan Plaza, Georgios Bartzokas, Luca Banchi and Luigi Lamonica participated.
- A total of 5,700 coaches, an average of more than 1,000 per year, wanted to expand their training with Valencia Basket.
- The Personal Development Area has been training the Club's coaches for three seasons now.
The Camps and Schools continue to grow
- The wide variety of Camps and Schools, which continue to grow, has been enjoyed by nearly 11,000 boys and girls over the last 5 years.
- Last season we announced the collaboration with Rookie Basket Academy for the creation of a Pre-Season Campus in Oviedo, Asturias, and a new Camp in Cáceres with B-Mood Basket.
- Regarding the already consolidated activities, the Christmas Camp reached 13 seasons, the Easter Camp celebrated its 17 years and the Summer Camp reached 33 editions.
More dreams fulfilled in the Mur dels Somnis
- In the five years of life of L'Alqueria a total of 10 players inscribed their name in the Mur dels Somnis.
- These last two seasons Millán Jiménez, Claudia Contell, Paula García, Alejandro Bellver, Awa Fam and Elba Garfella achieved it.
- Six players in two years, compared to three players in the three previous seasons, increasing the presence of youth players with Valencia Basket's professional teams.
L´Alqueria's seal makes its place in the national teams
- The presence of players in the training categories of national teams increased, culminating in this 5th year with a summer to remember.
- A total of 33 players and 6 coaches participated with their national teams, either in call-ups or in official tournaments from U12 to U20.
- This year the Taronja representatives won a total of 22 medals (7 gold and 15 silver), 19 for players and 3 for coaches.
- A total of 116 players were called up to the national team over the last five years.
Exponential growth in social networks
- In this fifth campaign, the figure stands at 32,000 followers, compared to 13,500 in the first year. This represents an increase of more than 137%.
- Last year the specific social networks for Camps and Schools were launched with more than 2,000 followers.
- The influence of L'Alqueria del Basket in the network grows and the activities carried out continue to generate great interest in Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
More teams in the Senior League
- In an effort to be everyone's home, three seasons ago the Senior League was created to give space to all those interested in playing basketball in the best facilities through an amateur competition.
- A project made possible with the collaboration of Quirónsalud and which last season acquired a greater degree of professionalism with the live statistics of NBN23.
- A total of 74 teams - male, female and mixed - have already participated in this league and every year the number keeps growing.
L´Alqueria Academy, a reference in the training of young people
- L´Alqueria wants to make its hallmark available to everyone and so three seasons ago created L'Alqueria Academy, the best academic-sports education in collaboration with the Mas Camarena Educational Centre.
- Each year the number of young people who have opted for this education - both Spanish and foreign has grown over the three active seasons.
