The Quirónsalud Senior League reaches its 7th edition with more than 90 teams

The seventh edition of the L'Alqueria del Basket Senior League with Quirónsalud will kick off this weekend with a steady growth trend. The amateur basketball competition, held at the best facilities, will feature a total of 93 participating teams—five more than last year—and will exceed 1,200 registered players. In the first edition, there were a total of 13 teams, representing growth of more than 700% over these seven years.

 

Of those 93 teams, 80 are men's and 13 are women's. The six men's divisions remain, with about 13 teams in each, distributed by level to ensure maximum competitiveness in the league. In addition, the women's division is also growing with 13 teams.

 

 The men's competition will feature a round-robin league. The first leg will last until Christmas. In January, a Cup will be played, and from February to May, the second leg of the league will take place, which will then conclude with playoffs. The women's competition will have a first league phase until January, a Cup in February, and a second gold and silver phase from February to June.
